So, less than a month, we'll be stepping on the land of the rising sun. If you ask me whether I'm excited or not, try to picture this. One of the AirBnb host that I booked an apartment with cannot communicate in English. She gave us a suggestion to look up on YouTube on how to get to her apartment -__-'. 2 seconds after watching the video, I only understood half cause the video was a fast forwarded one *there's an app for that in Iphone*. Hopefully we don't end up in Hiroshima instead of  Osaka.

I've never had sensitive skins but developed allergy towards lamb over the years. How I knew? I scratched like there's no tomorrow right after I consume lamb. But sometimes, sebab teringin, I'll just hantam first, worry later.

But for the past few months, I noticed that I develop rashes due to the hot weather a couple months back. I scratched until some of them bleed. They were tiny little rashes behind my back and thigh. I didn't realize that using the normal body wash will further worsen it until Juan told me. So at first I bought this really expensive brand for sensitive skin in Watson but it cost me almost RM30 for a small bottle. Although the price was reasonable for 1000ml I had doubts on whether Dove will really work but I gave it a go anyway. Even if it doesn't suit me, I have Juan to finish it up for me kan. First application, awesome. I called my dad and told him about this. My sister has eczema too. So instead of spending RM70.00 for a bottle of less than 1000ml soap for sensitive skin, I told my dad to give Dove a try.

Most of my friends doesn't know where I was born. All they knew was I studied and lived in Perlis all my life. Partially right.

Well, I was born in USM Kubang Kerian but my family moved out of Kelantan when I was around 2 years old. After we moved, we still go back to Kelantan once a year to celebrate the Lunar festival because I still had an uncle (R.I.P) at that time. Until he moved to KL to be his kids, we stopped visiting Kota Bharu.

So this year, I made a point to visit my hometown again. We had a 1 night stay before headed over to Kuala Terengganu the next day. The one thing I hate most is the jam. Driving into Kota Bharu means playing around your accelerator and break ALL the time.

I love the food. Although I lived far where I was the born, the culture has always been a part of me. Every year, I've never miss the chance of having my favorite nasi dagang or nasi minyak.

Judging by its name, you can guess that this is an all in pencil suitable for those who are lazy enough to bring a whole box of make up in your handbag. Heavy isn't it. Just as I thought.

I've been eyeing on this magic pencil since they were launched on Hermo but the colors that I wanted has been sold out. So I had to source it elsewhere. Queensbay has an Etude pop up store situated on the ground floor. Was out with Juan last weekend so decided to take a peek at these pencils on what colors are available. I was lucky enough that it was on sale ' Buy 1 Free 1'. Guess what, I grabbed 2 colors. One matte and one creamy. So each pencil cost less than RM25. Yeay.

I love matte lipstick and dark colors lipstick. So when Etude came out with this idea of having one pencil that can do all the job, I was a happy kid. Now I don't have to bring big bulky makeup cases in my handbag anymore.

Be careful when using the matte type pencil. Make sure you scrub your lips before applying them or you'll end up with dead skins on your lips and it will reveal your chapped lips.

However, not only you need to get yourself contact lens friendly product but there are a few things that as a person who wears contact lens on a daily basic needs to know:

Stick with oil-free products. At least around your eyes. "The oils found in creams and eye shadows can sometimes work their way through the natural contours of your face and into your eyes," explains Resnick. "Think of it like salad dressing: Oil and water won't mix, and your lenses will attract the oil." While it won't hurt your eyes, cloudy lenses will make seeing difficult.

Ask more of your mascara. No one likes clumpy mascaras, but you should really not like them if you wear contacts. And the same goes for mascaras that contain fibers, so stick to traditional lengthening and volumizing mascaras, not the ones with fiber particles.

Most importantly, always wash your hands.

Covering your hair does not mean you can neglect it. Just because no one can see what's inside  does not mean you can just ignore them. Well, people like us (hijabis), we have high chances of hair fall. Because covering your hair the whole day means your hair could not have fresh hair. So here's a few tips I'd love to share:

Tying your hair:

It's a big no no to tie your hair when it's wet. Most of us don't realize that the cause of hair damage begins during the shower, when you tie your clammy hair as this weakens the thickness of your strands. Never tie your wet hair into a ponytail as it is fragile and therefore cause hair loss. Using hair elastic to tie dripping hair is definitely asking for more root damage and hair breakage. Make sure to dry your tresses before tying your hair.

Change your inner

I'm guilty when it comes to inner. I change my inner 2 days once. Because I was too lazy to wash them daily. But now, I changed them very often. Why? You wear it the whole day. All those dandruff, hair flakes and whatever you have in your hair stuck on that inner. Gross!! I know.

Take off your hijab

It's recess time for your hair once you reach home. Remove your hijab instantly. They need fresh air too you know. Air your hair anytime you have the chance.

Go to salon

'No hijab friendly salon la'. Well, you're wrong. Hijab friendly salon are now mushrooming these days. Even the normal hair salon will provide a separate area for those with tudung. You hair still need their treatment once in a while. Just like going to the spa.

Wet hair

Blow dry your hair before putting on your hijab. A wet hair can cause musky smell in the long run. Your hair doesn’t have any space to dry inside your inner and scarf so best is to get it dry first.

Serum

Well this is the last step in taking care of your hair. Invest in a good serum. Apply them before putting on your tudung. My favorite will be the Cool Hijab. My scalp instantly feel so refresh and cooling (contains peppermint). Most importantly it prevent scalp irritation.
