I'm not a fan of foundations. I don't really like to use them. But on special occasion, I do.

I prefer light to medium coverage, depending on why I dress up. Perhaps for formal functions, parties, etc. But on normal workings days, I'll slab on light coverage foundation.

A friend of mine asked if I would like to try a foundation which she uses too. I agreed although I've never heard about this brand before. I don't use unknown brand not because I'm a branded person but because quality wise and the content of the product. Most importantly, the RnD behind the brand.

What I love about this foundation is, it gives a great coverage although you dab it lightly. I love how it makes my skin look natural without looking so excessively cakey at the same time.

Not only that, Jannah Cosmetics foundation also contains Magnolia stemcell, Argan oil, Vitamin C and E as well as SPF 35, suitable for indoor use like in office.

Magnolia stem cells help to reduce pigmentation and anti wrinkle, helps to decrease redness and repairs uneven skin tone.

You have no idea on how hard it is living with baby diagnosed with eczema *cried out loud* The lack of sleep, the scratching, the itchiness, the frequent visits to the clinic, the sleepless nights. Tell me everything about it. Memang susah. In my case, I'm very much lucky because my baby stays with my parents. So they had to endure all that most of the time. As for me, I'm only able to see #babyjedi on weekends.

But my parents pretty much teach me on how to help soothe #babyjedi on his eczema. The do's and don'ts.

As all of us do not have experience in taking care baby with eczema, our ways are basically try and error. Me and my dad read a lot on eczema forums, doctors, parents who has experienced this. It was tough. The first few months was all about not sleeping most of the night. Eczema comes at any given time. Regardless day or night. Sometimes I would wake up to find spots of blood on the bed because #babyjedi was scratching the night before. Kesian kan.

Cetaphil was our saviour. We read on one of the forum, a mum actually recommended this range of Cetaphil on babies who has eczema. It's quite pricey but it can last you for about a month, depending on how you use it.

We normally use it after each bath. Making sure that his skin is not dry and reapply only when necessary. It works wonder. It's an all-in one lotion and it glides so easy. Although it leaves sticky feel on the skin but that is the thing that keeps #babyjedi's skin moisturize because he's always in an air conditioned room. Dry skin will only make it worst. We also apply it on his face. Not only babies, adult can use this as their daily skin care routine.

Cetaphil Restoraderm body wash is my favorite by far. A gentle, soap-free, mildly foaming body wash; clinically proven to cleanse, moisturize and soothe dry and itchy skin. When bathing, gently massage into a lather and avoid scrubbing the skin. Rinse off and gently pat skin dry.

I also use the Cetaphil baby shampoo as recommended by #babyjedi doctor since he has sensitive scalp due to eczema and Alhamdulillah, it works and there were no redness or itchiness. This shampoo help to soothes the scalp. Contains soothing camomile that gently cleanses sensitive scalp without drying. It smells good too :-)

After bathing using Cetaphil Restoraderm body wash. If all mothers can relate to me, you know that you go through a big change the moment you gave birth to your beautiful baby. I used to have time to dress up, make up, wear pretty dresses and high heel. but now, I'm clad in T-shirt and cotton pants, most of the time. I rarely attend weddings or other functions. I have been avoiding myself from using alcohol-based toner on my skin because I noticed that it dries up my skin and it felt harsh too. Although it is said to be useful on pimples and acne, in order to get rid of the bacteria contained in the pus.

There are few reasons on why you should start practicing alcohol-free toner/astringent based toner:

Less Irritation
The job of a good toner is to get rid of the damage that appears on the surface of your skin. However, a toner that contains alcohol will only further irritate your skin, resulting in redness and inflammation. An alcohol-free toner is much more gentle, and will allow the surface of your skin to heal.

Balance pH
If you use a bar of soap or foaming face wash that might dry out the skin due to their low PH balance, a toner will help counteract the dryness that occurs.

Previously, I've been using a different brand for my toner. It was good but it doesn't help in terms of my aging concern. So I decided to give COSRX a try since I've been reading a lot of good reviews about it online.

Galactomyces Alcohol-Free Toner uses the ground-breaking Galactomyces fermentation techonology for maximum results which include nourishment, moisturization, renewal,and toning effects.

What I love about this toner is that, it doesn't contain perfume and colorless. It comes in a 150ml spritz bottle but I poured into a smaller bottler so that it's easier for my to pack it in my luggage and for daily use as I will know how much should I use on cotton face. I use it in my daily skin regime Wash > Tone> Serum > Moisturize

So far, Korea based products has not disappoint me. Although the effect takes longer time compared to Western brand, it doesn't leave any harsh residue or sensitive effect on my skin and they feel smoother as well.

Travel is not a reason that you can't put your makeup on, even the most minimal. You still wanna look good while exploring the world. But, bringing a bottle of makeup remover or cleansing oil can be leceh cause you need to bring that extra cotton face. Especially traveling with infant. You need everything to be fast and practical.

Women's body changes by time. Some will look pretty old for their age especially after you have had your first child. That's what I heard from experienced mothers. It scares me honestly. I didn't want to look like a 80 year old ah ma after giving birth to my first kid.

I've been pretty strict when it comes to taking care of my skin except for the past few months, I've been lacking of that discipline until I found myself carrying Gajah Jr. I knew that from that moment on, I can't be lazy. This mama gotta step up to her skin care routine.

I basically uses the same toner for day and night and Thayers has been my 2nd bottle. Each bottle could last me a year, usage of twice a week. It comes in a 375ml and I got them mostly from Lazada. This toner is great cause it's alcohol-free so it doesn't leave harsh effect on my skin. As for the serum, I have just started being a loyal customer to it. Serum is THE most important part of your skin care. As you grow older, your skin start to sag. Depending on your specific skincare concerns, you may need higher amounts of these valuable skincare ingredients with anti-aging benefits.

Serums shouldn’t contain sunscreen actives like a daytime moisturizer would or the emollients or light, texture-enhancing ingredients your nighttime moisturizer should have. Day routine:


As I have been applying makeups a lot throughout my pregnancy, I had to get myself a good makeup remover which also a contact lenses friendly one. I found the Garnier during my trip back to Singapore last year. You see, when you're pregnant, not all pregnant women will have that glow you've always dream of. I didn't have that but I develop slightly dark circle. So I will pack my face with a thin layer of concealer or medium coverage foundation before applying my eye liner and blusher. Those are my go-to regime before heading out. I don't like heavy makeup but I would love to look presentable whenever I'm out. It makes me feel confident.

For night cream, I opt for the gel type which doesn't leave my skin oily especially on my T-zone. It feels light and absorb instantly into my skin. My skin doesn't feel dry the next morning and I love the scent too. Lightly scented.
