I have been looking many websites on DIY props for wedding deco as well as for my home decorations. Some of them can be sooo inspiring. DIY projects do take up your time but it saves you the $$$.

I won't be having candy bar because I don't consume sugary food so I do not want the kids attending my wedding consume them too. Plus it will be a waste because my wedding will consist of adults and senior citizens. I believe they're not into this candy bar thing. Plus, I don't want the candy bar to attract the guests attention from the purpose itself which is......me

Even my Save the Date photos were taken by my sister-in-law in Bukit Tinggi which I have blogged here. Some places charges you around RM5 if you are taking wedding photos but not this one. RM12 for adult as the entrance fee. I suggest that you go early morning because the weather is not as cold as in Cameron nor Genting in the afternoon. The outcome was simply beautiful. It was also because of the natural scenery. I was provided with RAW phots, edited them here and there and added my own wording. Juan said 'Letting my inner Picasso out'.

I collect glass bottles. Once the plastic bag is full, I would sell them at a recycle center. A whole of a plastic bag. I thought since my wedding is around the corner,  it would be nice if I spent my time and energy into doing something special with these glasses. I'm planning to paint them in pastel colors and use them as my wedding deco. It will be look sweet and heavenly. Wasn't sure whether to use them as deco for my photo booth or deco for my registry table.


I collect tin cans too. The same, I used to bring them to the recycle center and sell them for a few bucks. You know, the extra cash. It's not much but it's something. After browsing a few creative website, I'd thought I'll turn the cans into DIY candle lantern. Carves with names beside the cans. It would look so cute and romantic.

This was taken at about 6am on Sunday. Our flight was scheduled at 8.15am by Air Asia. Reason being, the next flight to Penang was about 10ish pm. I didn't want to reach home that late. We took KLIA Express from Sentral station, transit at Salak Tinggi and took a bus to LCCT. On another note, it was Juan's first ride on KLIA Express as well and my first on the bus to LCCT. He didn't show any form of excitement. I guess for him, it's just another ordinary train ride like the LRT or KTM Commuter.

It's different for me because every time I travel on the KLIA Express, I develop this special feeling. Exciting, happy, regardless of how many times I have traveled in it. I love the smooth ride, the cold, the seats, the people. What I love most is sometimes you get to see pilots or stewardess traveling to KLIA for the first shift (Again, I'm no lesbian). They're just hot!

Upon reaching Penang International Airport, we walked down towards the arrival hall. We passed by the baggage claim belt. I was walking behind Juan. We should turn left, instead I was the only one doing it, while Juan walked straight and confidently towards the baggage claim. I stood there a few seconds thinking 'Do we have any luggage to claim?'. Then realized we didn't have any. I don't know why I called him out. I should have stand there and watch how far he'll go only to realized that he has gone the wrong way. It's going to be an epic.. Hahahahahaha

Me: Yang, where are you going?

Juan: Oohh, damn. I thought it was there.

Me: You so confident huh. (Lol). I don't know why I go and call you. Should just see until where you want to walk.

Types of Ampoules 

There are several types of ampoules:

After cleansing, the ampoule should be applied to the skin with gentle massage with steam. While the ampoule is still moist on the skin, you can apply a mask and complete a facial treatment. Or you may leave on the skin to be washed off after 10 - 15 minutes. Follow with the use of a moisturizer. 

You can purchase these ampoules from the bridal shop or online. I bought mine through Groupon. RM59 for 10 bottles.

Suggestions? I believe ampoules are not necessary for your skin. For as long as you take good care of it, like eating more fruits and vege, drinks lots of fluid (take less 1 day before your wedding shoot cause you don't want to look bloated), practice a good facial regime, apply mask at least twice a week, you are all good for the shoot. It will be a waste if you can't finish the whole of 10 bottles that comes in a package.

So, you tossed to happily ever after on your wedding day. Sometimes hard truths we all face after marriage, and how they teach us about what love really means. You know life is not like in fairytales. But I have to admit that somewhere deep in our subconscious, we envisioned of Cinderella, or maybe Sleeping Beauty. The images may be vague and a little outdated, but you can still make out the silhouette of the bride and Prince Charming riding off into the sunset.

In reality, sometimes your Disney fairy tale ends up feeling more like a Star Wars movie— and you're the chick who keeps falling down and screaming for her life. Let's face it, marriage is not for the faint of heart. You want to believe your love for each other will pull both of you through. It does...at times. But it ain't always like that.

When you get married, you think that you have picked the right guy — your soul mate — you'll be happy together until death do you part. Then you wake up one day and realize that no matter how great he is, he doesn't make you happy every moment of every day. In fact, some days you might wonder why you were married at the first place. You think to yourself, 'This is so not what I signed up for'. 

When everyone knew you were getting married, there goes all the marriage advises in the world. "Marriage takes 2 person to work it out" you assume "work" means being patient when he forgets to put down the toilet seat. You will struggle to compromise some annoying habit, like persistent snoring or picking his nose in public.

Whoever told a newlyweds "Never go to bed angry" doesn't know what it's like inside a bedroom where tears and accusations fly as one talks the other into a woozy stupor until night meets the dawn. If this scenario sounds familiar, so be it. Even when you do manage to stay focused and on topic, there are some fights that stubbornly refuse to die by bedtime. And if you stifle your real feelings just to meet some arbitrary deadline, your marriage will surely be the worse for it.

There is a bit of that fantasy in all of us — certain things that makes us believe we can change the person we love, make him just a little bit closer to perfect. We may use support and empathy or shouts and ultimatums, but with persistent belief we take on this huge responsibility, convince ourseleves that we're doing the right thing. Whatever our motives, the effort is exhausting. Changing a full-grown man — removing him of decades-old habits and beliefs — is truly an impossible task. And you will come to realize, sooner than later if you're lucky, that it is far easier to change the way you respond to him.

That's the strange thing of marriage: It's full of hard times and hard lessons that no one can ever prepare you for. Those tossing, congratulating words, and positive comments on your Facebook are just temporary. In the end, you and your spouse are the ones who has to face these hard knuckle reality of marriage.

This last photo was taken during our stop over in Negeri Sembilan. We have never been there so I suggested to the family of stopping over since we're passing by from Melaka.

We decided to look for their local dish but most of the shops are closed because it was a Sunday. But we managed to find a small local RnR serving dishes like daging salai masak lemak cili api. It was not bad, could have been better if it was other days. At least we have options.

Overall, our weekend was well spent before Dianah left for India last week.

A comfortable yet convenient stay is very important. Especially when travelling interstates. The tiredness of driving is making you imagine beds and hot showers.

I had the opportunity to stay in a budget hotel which I think has much more to offer. For as low as RM60 a night, you get to enjoy a comfortable room, equivalent to a 3 to 4 stars hotel without burning your pocket.

I have been staying in this hotel a couple of times whenever I travel to KL. Situated next to Giant,Bandar Puteri, Hotel 99 is an affordable yet comfortable hotel. If you don't drive, don't worry, because there are plenty of halal food around. Most are walking distance.

Hotel 99 has branches scattered almost around Kuala Lumpur. Like the ones in Pudu, Puchong as well as Klang. If you're looking for a hotel just a night while you're on transit, this is a good one to stay. Just 45 minutes drive to KLIA and LCCT. 20 minutes drive to the heart of Kuala Lumpur (not including peak hour). Cabs are available or you can request the hotel to book for you.

My first thought when I decided to get married is that I will arrange everything by myself, from finding fabric for my wedding gown to my dais. I thought I could do it by myself with help from some friends and family members but I was wrong. Lucky it was at the early stage of the preparation. I wasn't that stress at the early stage because I've already planned out what will my dress and my nikah outfit will look like, what kind of pelamin and meja beradab I wanted, the color theme and what type of deco will it be earlier last year. I want things to be organized. It saves a bit of time because I will not be having  a mini dais for my nikah. I feel it will be a waste of money for that 15 minutes ceremony. Most likely I won't even look at the dais on that day it self.

I did my survey middle of last year. I knew which wedding planner to look for as I have asked my friends around too. There were a few bridal shops that I visited  but the prices were too pricey or the packages were not interesting. Most of the visits lasted around 10 to 15 minutes. Usually I will view their wedding gowns first. If I do not like any of them, I'll ask for the price of custom made dresses and other wedding packages. Do not waste time if you're not interested in hiring them.

Before you visit any bridal studio, make sure you have a rough idea on what you want for your wedding beforehand. With the help of Google and blogs scattered around, your search can be narrow down. Lay these plans to the wedding planner so that it'll be easier for them to quote the price for you. DO NOT RUSH or make impulse decision. Go back and think. Make sure you know your budget and be realistic because you know you can't afford to spend lavishly on your wedding like Kate Perry.

Dnas Qaseh was not on my list. We were passing by coincidentally while driving. It was a small shop by the roadside and I believe most people won't even notice it. So I tried my luck. Went there twice. The second time was to confirm whether or not we're taking her after getting quotation from her the first time. I was quite satisfied with her service. Not only she listens to her customer, she also gave ideas and inputs. It was easier for us. Since she already have  the experience in doing weddings, at least she could tell us on details that we might missed out.

So when I confirmed with Kak Ina that we're hiring her for my wedding, I printed the pelamin design, baju nikah and wedding dress designs and pass them to her on my next visit. It makes things easier for both side. She knew what I wanted and I know how she'll work through it. So from the moment we started to execute the plan, we gave each other time frame. This is a good way for those who lives in a different state from your wedding planner. I'll tell her upfront through sms on when I'll be meeting her so that she'll have plenty of time to prepare the things I want before hand. So when it is time to meet, she'll just briefly tell me the progress. Her shop might look small but she has what it takes to be a wedding planner.

Wedding is not just about you, it's between working with your wedding planner. Have respect with each and lay down the right expectation from the start. Have a contingency plan, in case your plan A doesn't work out. It also gives you several options instead of just one to you and your planner.
