After 2 weeks of usage, I can see that my skin becomes slightly brighter but for the dark spots, uneven skin tone and freckles, it will take some time.

If you're just like me, scratching your head when you come upon a beauty counter, then we're on the same boat. It happens to me quite a lot. I'm in the middle of experimenting beauty product. Mascara, eye liner, bold color lipsticks. 

Below is a very basic breakdown of each product, and what they do. Brand-specific descriptions will be able to give you the specifics for each cream. You can even Google them up 

Ampoules are typically small, glass containers that are filled with a concentration of highly active ingredients. Ampoules usually contain botanical extracts, vitamins, and enzymes in various combinations and do not have any preservatives or chemicals due to the airtight packaging. 

There are ampoules designed to address every skin type and deficiency. Ampoules can have remarkable effects on various skin conditions, irritations, hyper-pigmentation, as well as, aging. Visible results are achieved within a short time after application. Combining ampoules and masks together in a treatment enhances the results.

Types of Ampoules 

There are several types of ampoules:

Gel - Botanical extractives in a light gel formula, which allows for easier absorption into the skin. Best suited for the facial tissues and reach maximum effectiveness when applied with steam and can also be used in conjunction with a mask.

Oil - A thicker ampoule in an oil formula which may either be massaged in with or without steam and does not need to be rinsed off. This type is more like a serum that can be followed with a moisturizer or worn simply as a moisturizer.

How to Use an Ampoule:

After cleansing, the ampoule should be applied to the skin with gentle massage with steam. This may done with a facial steam machine or steam towel (a moist hot compress; apply a steam towel to the face for a few minutes prior to using the ampoule and another after application). While the ampoule is still moist on the skin, you can apply a mask and complete a facial treatment. Or you may leave on the skin to be washed off after 10 - 15 minutes. Follow with the use of a moisturizer. 

You can purchase these ampoules from the bridal shop or online. I bought mine through Groupon. RM59 for 10 bottles.

Suggestions? I believe ampoules are not necessary for your skin. For as long as you take good care of it, like eating more fruits and vege, drinks lots of fluid (take less 1 day before your wedding shoot cause you don't want to look bloated), practice a good facial regime, apply mask at least twice a week, you are all good for the shoot. It will be a waste if you can't finish the whole of 10 bottles that comes in a package.

So, you tossed to happily ever after on your wedding day. Cutting that cake which cost you your one day pay, going table to table giggling away with your friends and family, receiving endless angpows and gifts. Then, the day after, you realized that you're married to a man which supposedly your Mr.Right for the ladies and Other Half for the men. That is when all the hanky panky things start to come out. Sometimes hard truths we all face after marriage, and how they teach us about what love really means. You know life is not like in fairytales. But I have to admit that somewhere deep in our subconscious, we envisioned of Cinderella, or maybe Sleeping Beauty. The images may be vague and a little outdated, but you can still make out the silhouette of the bride and Prince Charming riding off into the sunset.

In reality, sometimes your Disney fairy tale ends up feeling more like a Star Wars movie— and you're the chick who keeps falling down and screaming for her life. Let's face it, marriage is not for the faint of heart. You want to believe your love for each other will pull both of you through. It does...at times. But it ain't always like that.

When you get married, you think that you have picked the right guy — your soul mate — you'll be happy together until death do you part. Then you wake up one day and realize that no matter how great he is, he doesn't make you happy every moment of every day. In fact, some days you might wonder why you were married at the first place. You think to yourself, 'This is so not what I signed up for'. 

When everyone knew you were getting married, there goes all the marriage advises in the world. "Marriage takes 2 person to work it out" you assume "work" means being patient when he forgets to put down the toilet seat. You will struggle to compromise some annoying habit, like persistent snoring or picking his nose in public.

Whoever told a newlyweds "Never go to bed angry" doesn't know what it's like inside a bedroom where tears and accusations fly as one talks the other into a woozy stupor until night meets the dawn. If this scenario sounds familiar, so be it. Even when you do manage to stay focused and on topic, there are some fights that stubbornly refuse to die by bedtime. And if you stifle your real feelings just to meet some arbitrary deadline, your marriage will surely be the worse for it.

There is a bit of that fantasy in all of us — certain things that makes us believe we can change the person we love, make him just a little bit closer to perfect. We may use support and empathy or shouts and ultimatums, but with persistent belief we take on this huge responsibility, convince ourseleves that we're doing the right thing. Whatever our motives, the effort is exhausting. Changing a full-grown man — removing him of decades-old habits and beliefs — is truly an impossible task. And you will come to realize, sooner than later if you're lucky, that it is far easier to change the way you respond to him.

That's the strange thing of marriage: It's full of hard times and hard lessons that no one can ever prepare you for. Those tossing, congratulating words, and positive comments on your Facebook are just temporary. In the end, you and your spouse are the ones who has to face these hard knuckle reality of marriage.

This last photo was taken during our stop over in Negeri Sembilan. We have never been there so I suggested to the family of stopping over since we're passing by from Melaka.

We decided to look for their local dish but most of the shops are closed because it was a Sunday. But we managed to find a small local RnR serving dishes like daging salai masak lemak cili api. It was not bad, could have been better if it was other days. At least we have options.

Overall, our weekend was well spent before Dianah left for India last week.
