I finally got my hands on this baby after much consideration. The purchase was based on numerous reviews that I have read online. I took me a long time to post a review on Mia 2 because my schedule was packed. I only had the time, now, to slowly write it.
Well, to start it off, I have been wanting to buy Clarisonic product for quite some time after reading it on blogs during the official launch which is around last year. But I postpone my intention, with reason that it is not necessary. I'm not sure why I had the sudden urge to buy it again. It happened when I was in Sephora Queensbay with 2 girl friends of mine. I was looking to purchase the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer.
While walking out from the Sephora, I kind of stopped at the rack which display the Clarisonic products. Neatly display of all the Clarisonic brushes and tools. But prior to that, while paying for my item, I asked the sales girl on what this Clarisonic fuss about. She explained briefly and said that she'll demonstrated later on.
As what she had promised, the salesgirl and the 3 of us walked towards the rack and she explained on what each and every model of Clarisonic does and what are the differences between the brushes. We were like 'Wahh', 'Oohh', 'Really?', 'Wow'. Before the girl even managed to finish explaining everything, my mind has started talking to me 'Cik Yong, you need to get this'.
We left Sephora after the girl explained to us. We thought we'll come back again end of the month and I'll be the first one to purchase and evaluate the result together. All of us agreed. So, come the next day, I thought I try my luck to see whether Lazada has this Clarisonic product available on their website or not. Voila, they're! Best of all they're on sale. Without wasting any second, I texted my girl friends and told them about this. I was the first one to make the purchase, then Su Yen, then Ann. Later on, it was Su Yen's sister and her friends. This Calrisonic thing is contagious.
The price ranges between RM285 to RM299. Mine was RM285. The price depends on the color. The rare color costed more. There were many colors available. Sephora sells RM550 for Mia 2 version.
Each Mia 2 will come with a 'Sensitive' brush as standard. But you can change them by time. Either through Sephora(RM95) or Lazada (RM55, if they're on sale).

So what are the benefits of this baby?
My review:
Since my wedding is around the corner, I'd thought I put this device to good use and test it 1 month before my wedding day. My skin felt slightly smoother from the first use. But I have some breakouts after a week. The effects varies on skin. Different people has different skin, so the outcome will not be the same. Changes will definitely not overnight. It may take weeks or months. But for now, I use Mia 2 day and night with my own cleanser. Do not use scrub cleanser on Mia 2 because the particles might get into the device.

Things are getting real to the point that I don't believe that I'm moving on to another phase in life. Less than a month to go and I'm looking at sealing the deal of my life, not just that, having to meet cousins, uncles and aunties from a far which I can't remember when we last met. It is so exciting. Nerve wrecking to be exact. Seeing everyone suiting up for the big occasion.
At the same time, I'm preparing my nest to welcome a new person. Cleaning here and there. Sticking up wall stickers and hanging up frames. Each frame hung on the wall has its own meaning. Be it a handmade card from a close friend, or posters from my dad's collection when he was often travelling, part of his job.
I'm looking at framing more pictures in the future. Photo frames can change how your wall look like. It really do.
I know, I know. You have the best dad in the world as well. Wait till you see these photos.
Engledow and his daughter get into a bunch of misadventures when they're together, and he documents them all.
Most of the photos are taken of each of them separately, then they composites are photoshopped together.

I have the latest addiction to lipsticks especially the matte kind. I feel that they glide easily on my lip and they have this lip stain effect. So I have been wanting to find the suitable pink for myself. Previously, got myself the NYX matte lipstick but the pink was not dark enough. I still love it, don't get me wrong. I wear them whenever I'm out.
So one day, I walked into Gurdian. Because it was raining, me and Juan had no chance even the slightest one to run to our car. We just had our dinner and the time shows 9.30pm. So we walked around to kill time and while waiting the rain to subside.I thought Gurdian is the best place. As usual, it wasn't a plan purchase. I saw the lipstick like many times but keep holding back in purchasing it. Not sure what got into me at that time.
By the time we came out, the rain has stopped. Since I can't wait for the next day, I unwrapped the lipstick and try it on. Wow, I just love the color. Slightly darker shade than the NYX one. It has minty feeling and it feels cool but just for a while.
You can get them at your nearest Watson or Gurdian store. There are many colors available for you to choose from. :-)
Well, a month plus more to go before the real day comes. To update you readers on what has been going on for the past couple of weeks.
1. First and foremost, the accommodation issue has been sorted out by the parents. I have delegated the task to both of them as they stay near to the venue. It was too much of planning, organizing and confirming from a far.
2. As for my photo props, they're only 1/4 done. I'm not even half way there and I need to pass these items to my best friend who will be handling 99% of the event. I might just purchase them -__-
3. I can feel a decrease in my weight. Though I have yet to weight them. It seems easy to fit some of my tight jeans.
4. Definitely lost in appetite. I'm been growing fond to food like sandwiches, fruits and instant noodles but not into energy provider food like rice and I try to stay away from oily food like curries to prevent any early breakouts because they heal very slow. So my breakfast now consist of scrambled eggs with 2 toasts in the morning accompanied with a cup of milk tea. Usually, I'll keep the toast and grilled them on the grill pan for dinner.
5. Sudden increase in caffeine intake. Yes, very obvious. After my milk tea, I'll make sure I make myself half cup or full cup of white coffee. But I'm trying to cut them down.
6. Lack of sleep. Oh yes, that is definitely. Even when I go to bed earlier than usual, I tend to wake up middle of the night without any reason of having nightmares. Wake up with cold sweat and panic attack. After that, there will be no sleep for me until the next night. So my average sleeping time is roughly 3 to 4 hours.
7. Mood swing. Tick to that as well. I just shut myself from everyone including people in the office. Felt annoyed even people is only trying to smile at me. I only want to rot myself at home under the blanket, on my bed.
I know I needed to calm down. But having so much in my hands to deal with, I just snapped. I just want to make sure that everything goes smoothly.
Honestly, the one thing I'm looking forward to (apart from the beautiful dresses, the decos) are meeting family and friends from a far. The other thing is, having my best friends as my bridemaids. Never I imagine that it will be real. I know things going to be alright but for now, it's just chaos.
To all NH fans out there including me, Nurita Harith has recently launched her new collection for Aildilfitri 2014. With the Raya celebration in less that 3 months time, I bet most of us has started the preparations. Well, Raya 2014 will be slightly different for me. Instead of celebrating just the 4 of us, we now have an additional 1 member to the family, which is Juan.
Back to NH. You can view their collection at NH|Nurita Harith or you can purchase her collections at Fashion Valet
I took an extra leave on 2nd of May, a day after the labor day which falls on the 1st day of May. Reason being, I needed to pass my ROM application form or 'borang nikah'. It was lucky for me that Alla and Rozaimi were back in Perlis for that weekend. So they picked me up and we drove to the State Religious Department in Perlis. To my surprise, the process of the submission was easy peasy. It was not as hard as some claimed. The only hassle was you need to photocopy your identification card and you future spouse, a copy of a document to prove that your dad is a mualaf (if he is), just the front cover of the conversion document is enough, documents from the groom side, borang M and borang O(for the bride).
At the 3rd page of the borang M, refer to which Qaryah you belong to (you can check with the religious officer when you take the forms) and contact the Imam of the mosque to obtain his stamping and signature. The Imam will also act as Kadi on the day of your ROM/nikah. Imam will also help you to get 2 witnesses on the day of the ROM as well. There will be 2 witnesses needed for the borang M(only for the bride side). It can be either your brother, uncle or neighbor who knows you well. But please be mindful that, you CANNOT get 2 of your brothers (if you have 2) because they were born by the same mother. For example, it should be one of your brother and another witness can be your uncle/neighbor. If you do not have brothers, the witnesses should come from 2 of your neighbors. Remember to obtain a photocopy of their identification card too.
Since I had 4 days of holiday, I'd thought it would be nice to spend some time with my father. We hardly have the time where only 2 of us were there. It was either Dianah with my dad or my mum with my dad. Coincidentally, my mother was in Singapore. She only comes back a day after I left for Penang. Didn't had the chance to cook because I do not know where Cik Timah store her pots and pants, cutleries, and what needed for cooking. So it was pretty hard to move around the kitchen. But I did clean up the house though. We went to Alor Star on Saturday to find cushions for 2 of my DIY refurbished furniture and had dinner as well.

It took me a while to finish up this post. I'm worry that I might say the wrong thing. You know, people can twist your words in social media. With so many things going around and with my hands are tied, I can't find time to actually write this post till today. I have so many things to think about and the last thing I want is people throwing words and sarcasm at me about this issue. So this is my side of the story about donning the hijab:
As some of you noticed, I had once posted a post, mentioning about having the intention to don the tudung previously. You can see me, on and off with the tudung on my social media. I have more photos of me wearing the tudung compared to previously. I have people asking me or curious to know whether I have actually do it full time. The answer is, No. Sorry to disappoint you.
Islam is not about forcing and Islam itself does not judge but we, the outcome of our Creator, are sadly. All the wars around the world are created by us not Him. I may not be as pious as some of you but I know my limits. I know some of you have good intention. But I do hope that you can stop asking me what am I actually planning to do. I'm in the learning stage and I believe everyone is in their leaning curve. Learning never end. I'm trying to do what is right and I think I know which is right and which is wrong. Yes, along the way, I feel like giving up. I thought to myself, why am I doing this? But I get help from Him to give me strength to continue, if what I'm doing is right.
If you ask me whether, am I scared, excited or nervous, etc? Of course I do. I can't expect how society would see me as a person donning the hijab. Throughout my life, I only wear them during school years because it was compulsory for Muslim girls. To be wearing them again for the rest of my life, is the next big thing for me. It's change, which I can say, Alhamdulillah, at the end of the day. But that doesn't change me as a friend, wife or daughter.
Every religion are different. So don't judge each other. At the end of the day, it comes back to you. So don't criticize or being sarcastic about others. Look at yourself first before saying about others. We're made of blood and flesh and we bleed if we're wounded. We all have the same blood in us.
I want to do this the right way. When you have the intention to do something good, you already gain 'pahala', let alone doing itself. The 'pahala' is even bigger. I know some of us could change overnight. Remember, not everyone. You do not have the right to judge a person if she's learning to cover up her aurat, even if it means 'sometimes'. At least she already started to practice and she made the first move. She already have the intention. We wear hijab to please Allah, not others. So why judge? Why?
" The deeds are considered by their intentions, and a person will get the reward according to his intentions. So whoever emigrated for Allah and his Messenger, then his emigration will be for Allah and his Messenger; and whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration would be for what he emigrated for." ~Al-Bukhari
Covering up is not just about covering up your 'aurat'. It's about changing your lifestyle too. How you act, your attitude, how you talk to others, respecting people and so on. It's about covering inside out. Each and every one of us has the right to make decision for themselves, so leave this to me. It's between me and Him. It doesn't change the fact that I'm a Muslim. Don't be judgmental. We're equal on this temporary world. Instead, be happy that your 'sisters' are changing to a betterment. How about you? Have you started yet? Question yourself before you question others. You are no near to perfect, so do I, but at least we're trying to learn about our religion. Not just by religion written on your birth certificate.
For me, covering up your aurat is a beautiful thing. Do not tarnish this with your ungrateful words. It hurts. Give good advise, smile to that person when speaking, tell her that she's doing a good deed. We, humans, are fuel by motivation from others. So please don't tell me you're not. You like when people compliment you in any aspect, beauty particularly. That's one of the reason Allah created us. To support each other. No one can live alone forever. We're all destined to help each other as brothers and sisters. We all came from one source so don't create the differences. You and me are no different. Full of sins and now, trying to change.
To those non-Muslims, it doesn't change your Muslim friend into someone else, she is still that blur and quirky girl you knew back then. It's just that she choose a different path. A path that gives her the tranquility and peace she long needed.
