The Mughal dish

During our stay in Agra, we had the opportunity to try out Mughal dish. Mughlai cuisine is a style of cooking developed in Medieval India by the royal kitchens of the Mughal Empire. It represents the cooking styles used in North India(especially Uttar Pradesh and Delhi), Pakistan(particularly among Muhajir people), and the Indian city of Hyderabad. The cuisine is strongly influenced by the Central Asian cuisine, the region where the Turco-Mongol Mughal rulers originally hailed from, and it has in turn strongly influenced the regional cuisines of Northern India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

The tastes of Mughlai cuisine vary from extremely mild to spicy, and is often associated with a distinctive aroma and the taste of ground and whole spices. A Mughlai course is an elaborate buffet of main course dishes with a variety of accompaniments.

The dish was so good that we beg not to leave the restaurant *seriously*. The price was reasonable for a hotel restaurant. Total was around Rs 2700 for a 4 person meal. Do you know that naan is part of mughal dish?

Hotel Taj Prince is situated nearby to our home stay and according to our tuk-tik driver, Azeem, this hotel serve one of the best Mughal dish around Agra city.
