I've been wanting to travel. In fact, I have been travelling since I was a kid. It's the perk of having a father that has a job that enables him to travel around the world.
So when I started working, I've been dreaming of going for a backpacking trip*say what???* *cough*. I mean the r-e-a-l backpacking where you pack only the essentials. So I wanted to go somewhere I am familiar and since my sister is the backpacker type, I'm sure that I'll be safe in her hands *eermmm*. Apart from that, budget is also one of the element that I have to consider too. Having Juan to share the cost, it really helps a lot.
I have visited India back in 2007 when my dad was stationed there for about 2 years, I believe so. It was in Mumbai. I'm so relieved to know that the apartment we stayed in was in the middle of a busy junction. We have easy access to mini mart, halal restaurants, mobile phone shops.
I have always been amazed with SEA countries. Some countries are so poor with lack of amenities and infrastructures but somehow they're unique.
You can imagine the impossible when you're in India. From their daily routine to their working sector to how their public transport works. Yes, there are criminal cases in India but which country doesn't have one? Just be careful and not to travel to rural area when you're travelling alone or in a small pax.
India is a country rich in diversity and different culture. The one with the buying power will live lavishly while the poor, you can see them making capati or shower by the road side as you travel along in a cab.
I suggest you should at least visit countries like this at least once in your life. It will definitely change how yo evaluate your life and you'll appreciate what you have even better.
