It was a Monday and our day started at 11am with brunch and spent the rest of the day in Sentosa Island.

After brunch, we took the MRT from Jurong East, alighted at  HarbourFront Station. From there, you may either go to the 3rd level of VivoCity shopping mall, transfer onto their Sentosa Express or you may take a leisurely stroll down the Sentosa Boardwalk at Level 2. The Sentosa Express cost S$4 per entry.

Admission fee to Sentosa Island is S$1.00. You can either pay by coins, purchase ticket or using your EZ Link. However, there are charges for some of their activities like Sentosa 4D Adventure Land, Singapore Cable Car, Madamme Tussauds Singapore.

Sentosa Island is divided into 6 sectors which are Imbiah Lookout, Siloso Point, Beaches, Serapong (golf), Sentosa Cove and Resort World Sentosa (where the famous USS is situated). This visit may take 1 or 2 days (exclude USS). It depends on what do you want to do in Sentosa Island. If you love to play some of their attractions, purchasing bundle tickets are much more saving compare to a single one. See here.

The Crane Dance, the newest attraction at Resorts World Singapore, is officially open and lighting up the Sentosa Waterfront nightly at 9:00pm. This free show is the creation of Emmy-award winning designer Jeremy Railton and, with each crane standing 10 storeys tall and weighing 80 tonnes.

Fact: Do you know that The Crane Dance is the largest dancing animatronics performance in the world?

The Crane Dance is a modern interpretation of a classic Asian folk story where artificial birds come to life through the power of love. The graceful courtship dance of the giant robot cranes is accompanied by colorful lights, spraying water, pounding music, and jumbo TV screens with animation on each bird’s body. The performance takes about 10 minutes and is suitable for all audiences.
