I'm now an official fan of NYX product. I've started using the mascara at first. Since I have sensitive eyes and I wear contact lenses on a very long hour each day, I needed mascara that won't irritate my eyes. I have tried almost every brand of mascara available, but none worked. So one fine day I walked into Sephora, and saw the brand NYX which I have never heard before. The price was affordable, so I'd thought, what the heck, I'll try plus it's only RM26. From there, the interest in this brand grew. 

Then I wanted to find myself a cream eye shadow. I went to the NYX section as well in Sephora and saw this pencil look of eye pencil (that's what they call it). I've been a fan of natural colors because I'm not confident enough to carry bold colors. So I tried all the colors available but I settled for bronze.

It didn't irritate my eyes at all and it doesn't feel oily at the end of the day. The particles doesn't fall into your eyes unlike compressed powdered eye shadows. This is an important factors for users who wears contact lenses like me. It has a hint of bronze on my eyelids plus I pair them with my NYX mascara and NYX bold eyeliner pen (I'll blog about that later on). Everything looks natural and your face looks fresh. You can use them as your everyday look. Fast and simple. 

We had our picnic last weekend at the top of Penang Hill. It was a planned trip actually. Juan prepared all the dishes which comprises sandwich with tuna, tomato and egg while I prepared the mixed spice tea. We also had the French loaf as well. 

We were supposed to watch the sunrise (it was my plan) but as expected, I woke up late and we reach the top of the hill at around 10.30.

The queue at the ticket counter was outrageous because it was a school holiday season but lucky that it was fast. The waiting time for the train was every 15 minutes. Many visitors were not local judging based on their accent.

My last trip to Penang Hill was with Juan too during the Mooncake festival last year. It was our date night when we first went out as a couple. Hahahaha.

So it has been a while since I last went for a spa session. As far as I remember, perhaps it was 2 years back, maybe? So there was this one time, I wanted to have one so bad and coincidentally my best friend Alla was in town. She slept over at my house after a date with her partner. We didn't plan to go for a spa. We were supposed to go out to have dinner together in KFC. While walking, we past by a huge banner, saw this info about a spa center upstairs and since she had the mood to join in the fun, I thought why not. I didn't know that it existed. We stopped and looked at each other.

'Wanna try?' I said.

'Sure'

We had a 1 hour session of Mustika Ratu basic facial. Then later on, we head to KFC.

Then after 2 weeks, I went back to my hometown. This time I decided to go by myself and also I needed a good massage as I've been having sore backache for the past few weeks. I took 1 hour of massage session and 1 hour of Nu Skin basic facial. Don't expect they will have high tech facial machines like what they use in the expensive spa centre. The massage was good. It was gentle and friendly too.

Lanna spa has been operating for over10 years. 

I have combination skin. Basically oily on the T-zone and slightly dry on cheeks. Recently I have been developing pimples and slightly reddish and uneven skin tone. Not that I do not have pimples previously but only during my period time. But nowadays, they are out of the usual timetable. They pop up any time they want. As if like they have purchase my skin on my face for a million dollar. Not to mention that I have tried numerous product and luckily I do not have sensitive skins. From the expensive ones to those sold in Watson and Gurdian. To make it worst, I love playing with my pimples and I hate knowing that they're there. My mum used to throw at me the TV remote control if she caught me playing with my pimple. *Kabooommm, it just came flying to your face*. Yes my mum is a cold hearted serial  'killer'. She even used the back of a knife to knock on my fingers because I have a habit of biting my nails(even now). But unfortunately it didn't work on me, taken into consideration that it happened countless times...Hahaha. Those were the days.

Anyway, since I have an oily T-zone, some beauty website suggested that it's good to practise a double cleansing habit and so I did for the past few weeks. I was just way toooooo lazy previously.  But ever since I 'realized' that age is catching up upon me, I needed to do something about it before Mrs. Wrinkle starts her visit. She is no women's best friend. 

Was walking past this row of shops in Bukit Jambul and saw one of the shops there sells Indonesian products like herbals, jamu and so on. Juan was waiting for his waffles at that time, so I took the time to take a look at what they have in store. Then I saw Mustika Ratu. My mum used to use Mustika Ratu product when I was young. As I have thin hair, she use the processed coconut oil from Mustika Ratu and been using that many years. Didn't realized when it stopped though. 

One of the many Mustika Ratu products in that store caught my attention. A yellow kind of lotion in a bottle. I smelled it and it has the exact smell during my facial treatment back in Perlis few months back. It's their cleansing milk. I even bought the alcohol-free toner. It smells so refreshing.

Each sachet contained acid that will was away the residues in the hot pot and make your pot shiny again. All you need to do is fill the hot pot full with water and pour 1 packet pot of the pot detergent and leave for around 30 mins. Make sure put a note on the outside part of the pot that the water in the pot cannot be used. 

After 30 mins, can you see the different. The after picture looks milky because of all the residues which has been washed out by the detergent. Make sure you wash the pot as clean as possible.

I ordered steak burger while Juan ordered some ginger something pasta. My steak burger came with salad as the side. But it wasn't to my expectations. The beef was hard and thick, full of fats and ligaments. The dressing was not bad but the salad was not enough of the dressings.
